I stand corrected-- there is an article re. the BXM news in
the Gloat and Bail:
--------------
Globe says Kaiser calls new results "excellent," but he is cautious

Bre-X Minerals Ltd - - - BXM
Shares issued 219103330
1997-04-22 close $2.39
Wednesday Apr 23 1997

The Globe and Mail, in a small late-breaking page A2 story in its
Wednesday edition, says that Bre-X Minerals issued drill results
from 22 more holes on Tuesday night. Six showed no significant
gold, but the rest yielded values of 1.05 to 6.67 grams per ton. The
Globe says the figures would have drawn cheers from stock market
players before panic took hold last month. California-based junior
mining stock newsletter editor John Kaiser says the new results
would be considered "excellent" under normal circumstances. Mr
Kaiser says, however, that unless they can demonstrate that the
preparation of the samples for these results was different than for
the rest of the holes, it does not mean much at the moment.
