How is the guy who buys a GM car now smarter than the one who buys a GM car after they file chapter 11?

I realize most Americans are as stupid as a box of rocks, but when discussing matters that one way or another will have extremely serious consequences for our economy for years to come, we should not take Joe The Plumber as a role model.

The "who will buy a car from a bankrupt auto manufacturer?" argument is just ****ing stupid. GM is already bankrupt ... all the fact that they haven't filed a petition means is they are bankrupt without being under the court's protection, so they have to go hat in hand begging for money.

A bailout will get them a few more months, maybe a couple of years, that's all it will buy.

America needs to change its motto from "In God We Trust" to "Don't Be A Dumbass" cause the dumbassedness is running pretty thick in this country right now.
