Hi Zonder,

I am about as close to France as you can get without living there - hint Switzerland - and admit I agree with LB about the French attitude. As far as I can tell, their world starts and stops at Paris.

BTW, I just finished reading the biography of Jean Moulin which gave me a lot of insight into the French. Not even under Nazi occupation could they succeed in working together.

A quote from de Gaulle always consoles me when I am lost trying to understand them: 'How do you expect me to govern a country which makes 400 different types of cheese.' And another which I freely admit to have adopted from Physics -'the French are often in error but never in doubt.'

Et je peux vous dire que je parle pas mal leurs langue et ca m'aide pas a les comprendrent.
