If you are an investor, you sure as hell give a spit about standards. Standards mean more revenue for the company and more return for the investor. If i am not mistaken, this is a message board about Iomega. Therefore, if you do not care about the company or the products, please take your business elsewhere.
I am in no way starting a "pissing" contest. I am in the INVESTMENT business, not the pissing business.

It is true, they do not have backward compatability, BUT that in no way indicates what is best product for your customers. What about performance? availablity? Cost? STANDARDS???
Back to the standard issue (which you don't care about). What are your customers going to do if Zip becomes the standard and they do not have a zip compatable drive??
OR
if every company besides Compaq supplies new machines with Zips and NOT LS120, who are you going to share your LS120 disks with???

Nobody said it was not possible to have both a Zip and a 1.44MB floppy.
