Mary raises a good point, even though Tim Hill was merely the most flagrant abuser. These guys don't just sell at lot of the stock, they liquidate their holdings. I started to do Alan's exercise of finding the total number of shares sold by insiders. However, I noticed that the more amazing thing was that they left themselves with no shares by the time they were done selling. Now, to be fair, I do not know what they may have had left in terms of "actionable" holdings. I really have to check the filings to see what other options are still outstanding, but I remember trying to perform this exercise months ago, and having a real problem. Does anyone have a recent proxy handy? How specific is the information is gives on option grants?
Anyway, you guys, please don't try to discredit what Mary is saying based on my chiming. (I wouldn't put it past some of you.) God knows, she certainly doesn't me my help. In fact, if all the bulls on this board were like Mary, you wouldn't need me anymore.
