ADVISORY/Ascend to Demonstrate Numerous Product Offerings at N+I

Ascend Communications this week will demonstrate a number of products and remote
networking solutions at the Networld
+ Interop show in Booth 4451, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta,
October 8-9, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,
and October 10, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Security - Ascend will demonstrate its ''Encrypted VPN Starter Kit'' that combines
Ascend's recently announced
SecureConnect products with SecurID identification and authentication technology,
offering corporations new solutions
for implementing secure remote access applications.
Network Management/NAVIS - The NAVIS demo is essentially two demos in one
dedicated to the management
tools used by ISPs and enterprise markets (NavisAccess) and the tools used to
manage the core switching products
(NavisXtend).
The GX 550 switch - Announced this week, the GX 550 is a scalable, high-capacity
ATM switching system providing
the necessary capacity, performance, and fan-out capabilities for carrier services.
Multi-DSL - Ascend will show performance capabilities of IDSL, SDSL and RADSL
vs. analog. Also announced this
week is the DSL-TNT.
Ascend Pipeline Series - This demo will feature the Pipeline 85 and the Java Based
Pipeline Configurator. Also shown
are the Pipeline 220, 130, 75, and 50.
MAX - The entire MAX product line will be displayed.
Product Wall - The Product Wall depicts the Big Picture of the Ascend/Cascade
merger demonstrating Ascend's
end-to-end solutions.
