Especially if Sarkozy wins. Neocons rule by exploiting differences to polarize populations. Their stated goal is to make sure nobody can rise to a level that can stand on their way. They are not the kind of people who believe in building a bigger pie to share. Do you think they will see a united Europe as desirable? With pro-neocon regimes in Germany and France and Italy, you can probably kiss EU good bye permanently.
