Thanks for your reply.

I noticed in Ted's book that he would describe and show periods where the market tanked and some stocks would tank less. This would indicate relative strength, which I also like to screen for candidates. Did Ted put the brakes on his strategy when the general market was getting into distribution like it appears now?

The reason I ask is that sectors generally move in herds and If not careful, one could be overly weighted on said sector.
