I have a call into Ligand IR about the Science paper, but I'll go out on a pretty sturdy limb and predict that the will be a press release associated with the publication.

LGND actually doesn't put out that many press releases on publications. LGND scientists and consultants publish almost daily. I upload a small subset, and most of the publications come out without press releases. LGND scientists and consultant get more than their fair share of papers in prestigious publications like Nature, Science, and Cell. However, many are at the very basic research level and the general public would have trouble recognizing the significance.
Some, such as the diabetes or breast cancer results in mouse or rat models, are fairly easy to understand and represent such extraordinary results that they are accompanied by a press release. I think that an oral version of G-CSF would definitely fall into that category, so I expect to read about it in a prestigious scientific journal such as Science as well as a press release with follow up in the popular press.

Of course some posters on this board are really clueless when it comes to science (LGND's or others), even when its as significant as this upcoming paper.
