Tulsa Wanenmacher OK Gun Show.

I was at this show this last weekend and wow was I amazed. I have been going to this show on and off for the last 20+ years and this one was a totally different atmosphere. The best words I can describe it would be "spending frenzy".

My father, family friend and I had one table with 10 rifles (various calibers and models) and 7 hand guns (again various calibers and models). We sold 9 of the rifles within 30 minutes. One individual bought 3 at one time ($1,000 each). We know our guns and trust me, they were not priced cheap. All but one of the hand guns sold that weekend but the amazing thing was on the first day, Saturday. People came in there with a purpose and rarely even haggled on the price.

Ammo was one thing that was available but by the end of Saturday most of it was gone. We talked with one ammo dealer and he said that he nor his other 3 co-workers were able to take a break until 6 hours after the show opening. They brought in 10 pallets of ammo that day and left with 3/4 of one. .380 caliber ammo was no where to be found. The good (made in USA and not the imported stuff).223 rounds were selling close to $1.00 per round; and it was going out the door as fast as folks were piling in.

I don't know the official attendance number but I am sure it set a record. Most of us Okies are ready for whatever comes our way. I pray that you are as well.
