Tom,

Of course we are all probably "nuts" for asking anyone else on this thread for any sort of financial advice after our choice of investment in Naxos, but you asked :) Today's Dell...well I have been investing in a company for a little over a year now and continue to do so as my finances allows. The company is Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products
(the ticker is LHSPF) and they trade on NASDAQ. Their home base is
Belgium, but they have offices thruout the world. They are a technology company and have the belief that we will all eventually
communicate to our machines (computers,tv, microwave, automobile, whatever) in a much more natural way - with our voice. This vision of course has been around for years, but not until recently has it been able to make significant strides into the mainstream. With the miniaturization of microprocessors and the dramatic increases of their computing power it is beginning to make the feasibility of these technologies more probable. Don't get me wrong, this is all still very much in it's infancy, but Bill Gates and many others feel that this is in fact the path of the future. LHSPF does have competition from others, IBM, Philips, Dragon, etc., but none of these competitors offer the broad range of products or have the number of diverse languages that LHSPF does. They have been acquiring companies and signing licensing agreements at a torrid pace over the last two years and have grown their revenues at a blistering rate. All of the forecasting agencies that I have reviewed show this market area exploding over the next 10 years to many times it's current size. A sector in it's infancy, expected to grow rapidly, coupled with one of the leaders of that sector (LHSPF) may just mean
a Dell...but then again Naxos was supposed to turn the platinum industry upside down (and we both have to admit that the possibility
of this is slim at best right now). Best of luck to you on your search and with whatever company you decide to eventually go with.
Keep us updated o.k. ? This is so much more interesting than the same old "no news" syndrome that we have been plagued with lately here on the thread. Have a great day !

Jim
