The disruption of the Amdocs/Architel merger resulting from an announcement by the intended of the loss of its largest customer is eerily reminiscent of the cancelation of the Tellabs/Ciena marriage. In the latter, circumstantial evidence implies very strongly that at least one motivation in the timing of the fatal announcement was an attempt by sinister forces to undermine the union.
