Long term investors prevailed over short sellers as as Calpine finished up 12.7% to $2.93. Calpine finishes the first week in the lead. Althought the market was driven by short covering, there is a sentiment expressed by analysts and message board enthusiasts that Calpine, headed by Peter Cartwright (below) will be able to refinance the companys loans. calpine.com
