If it starts to snow and doesn't stop ..

we went over the tipping point.

That will be the arrival of the next ice age.

The sun warms the earth. The amount of warmth we receive from the sun varies.

When that energy reduces, we get cold.

Large sun spots cause a reduction in the total amount of energy the sun releases.

We are having a lot of large sun spots. Thus the total energy being released is less than it was a year ago.

The hot summer we have had so far has been enhanced by the fires burning out west. Those are some very large furnaces burning. That warms air.

Europe is already having a cold summer.

A snow in September would not be a good indicator.
