FLEET AEROSPACE CORPORATION ANNOUNCES NAME CHANGE TO MAGELLAN AEROSPACE CORPORATION AND SHARE CONSOLIDATION
TORONTO, Oct. 17 /CNW/ - Fleet Aerospace Corporation (``the
Corporation'') announces that the following special resolutions were passed at
a Special Meeting of Shareholders held today in Toronto, Ontario.
1) Shareholders approved an immediate change in the Corporation's name to
Magellan Aerospace Corporation.
2) Shareholders approved a share consolidation whereby five old shares
will be exchanged for one new share. It is anticipated that the
common shares and warrants of Magellan Aerospace Corporation (stock
ticker symbol MAL) will commence trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange
on a post consolidation basis within the next week, subject to receipt
of all applicable regulatory approvals.
The Corporation, whose shares are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange,
manufactures products for the aerospace industry through five divisions -
Fleet Industries Ltd. based in Fort Erie, Ontario; Orenda Aerospace
Corporation based in Mississauga, Ontario; A-R Technologies based in Richmond,
British Columbia; Aeronca, Inc. based in Middletown, Ohio; and Middleton
Aerospace Corporation based in Middleton, Massachusetts.
