Interesting tests you did, and I would agree with the conclusion. After the 5 hour ordeal, I didn't detect that much more speed in drive data retrieval. Also, Win does not report accurately whether a drive actually eeds defrag. I recall the DOS days and Norton Untilities, then, there is a marked difference in speed after a defrag.
