Ray,

Since you identify yourself as a trader, rather than adjectives and colorful prose (I like the farmer's net and apple thing), could you please explain the technical reasons why you think Intel is overpriced?

It seems to me that the worldwide market for CPUs is huge. I have friends in developing countries that are buying (and selling) large numbers of PCs for business. The personal purchasing hasn't really taken off yet.

When cool software that takes advantage of higher performance in visualization becomes available, AGP systems will have a real advantage over competitors. Of course, short term, AMD and Cyrix could make some sorely needed profits, but that shouldn't cut too deeply into Intel's long term potential. I recently talked to a manager at a Pentium packaging plant who told me that they cannot produce enough to keep up with demand. If they keep up profits, they keep up their share price.

Long term, Intel looks like a screaming buy to me.

Good luck!

Mike
