Any SI threads on preferred stock investing?

(Anyone interested in starting/joining one?)

I have been buying preferred stocks (mostly of REITs); the yields are generally 9% + and the risk seems fairly nominal in some of these issues. In a market as shaky as this one, this may be a decent hunker-down strategy.
