MGCN update: 10/6/99

A source managed to briefly see, at a distance, the list of vendors
that Megachain will be releasing. The source could not say who was on
the list, or how many vendors were on the list, but does report that
the list was organized by 'category' of vendor (i.e., by product type)
and that the number of categories is in the dozens.

Many of the vendors are located in the San Diego region. For example,
Proflowers.com is physically based in La Jolla. This is because Tom
Johnson, Megachain's VP of Sales and Marketing, is from San Diego and
has many business connections there. By the way, before joining
Megachain, Tom Johnson held executive positions at Herbalife and at
Amway.

Uniserve.com, is a smallish ISP (35,000 members). Today's news release
about signing up Uniserve to the Megachain program was similar to the
proflowers news, in that Uniserve requested that it be announced
immediately upon signing, because Uniserve felt that they would benefit
by being immediately, publically associated with Megachain.

I don't know whether or not this 'little' new release will push back
the date of the 'big' news, that is, the full list of initial vendors
and ISP's. Sources both official and unofficial only say that the big
news release is 'imminent,' and that it will be released before the
vendor marketing campaigns commence, and that the vendor marketing
campaigns are scheduled for the '4th quarter,' meaning Oct-Dec of this
year.

The sympatico deal is done. Sympatico is merging with another ISP to
form Telus.net. See telus.net

Now go to Telus's british columbia homepage, at
mybc.com
If you then click on the 'yellow pages' option, you will see on that
page a Megachain picture/link.

That link is not a banner ad. It is part of the initialization phase of
the strategic alliance between sympatico (now Telus) and Megachain.
Telus has over half a million subscribers, most of whom will receive a
direct invitation from Telus to sign up for the Megachain program.

You can buy Megachain stock for only one dollar a share today. Within
months, if not days or weeks, that statement will seem absolutely
amazing. Bargains like this don't last forever.
