Matt, I'm not David but I found your post somewhat amusing in terms of the questions you ask.

Satellite technology such as Direct PC is here now, but not at all inexpensive. It only transmits data one way, so you still need a phone line for uploading. You have to pay for the dish, but the real cost comes in when you pay for internet access. You are charged by the download, so anyone who spends much time (all of us here?) on the web will be paying some mighty hefty bills. Satellite will evolve and come down in price, give it a couple years or more, but I think for now it will be a internet access for people in rural areas.

>I know that both companies are well aware of the future of comunications. I guess I am just wondering how we get paid in this?<

USRX/COMS is actively developing products for the emerging xDSL and Cable technologies. There have been numerous press releases on this subject. It may take some time but if you were to go back and read the post's on the usrx thread for the past couple months or so you will find a lot of information.

USRX/COMS will be here in 2050. Technologies will change as they continually evolve. USR has obviously stayed on top of these changes and will always do so IMO. Enjoy the ride!

Regards,
Dererk
