Gott.. I had the exact same problem. I just bought a new printer about a week ago (hp672c). But I had a Epson Lq-570 and it did the exact same thing. I could print a 4 page document and it would take 8 pages to print it. I never did figure out how to fix it so I bought a new color one which is what I wanted anyway. Lamar
