I tried using ... =COUNT(A1.A5) .... to count the number of items in a range .... it returns me a zero .... so what am I missing in that formula? I found the different formula's, including the count, in the help ... but it is ambiguous ... these work ... =SUM(A1.A5) =AVERAGE(A1.A5) but =COUNT(A1.A5) does not
