No, but I will give Steve this: during the 8-10 period, Jobs
was running NeXT. And Jobs actions in running that company
would not inspire any trust whatsoever, IMO. The only thing
that allowed NeXT to promote itself the way it did is that it
was not public and not held to the same standards as a public
company.

OTOH, Steve, Apple is a public company, and I don't think Jobs
is looking to repeat the mistakes at NeXT. Everything seems to
indicate that he has learned those lessons. But I can understand
that anyone who dealt with NeXT would be initially wary of dealing
with an Apple run by Jobs.
