Paul, I agree with you that the stock will probably move up significantly if events unfold as PRLN plans them. You might be right that PRLN doesn't NEED a new CEO in that Babish and Koch COULD run the company on their own. However, the company would be much better off if they found someone else. Quite truthfully, I would prefer to see Dr. Babish spend more of his time doing science where he truly shines and less of it in the marketing end.

I think the announcement that the company has hired a credible CEO would make the stock pop quickly. Christine has mentioned that she was concerned about the leadership of the company. I suspect that she is not the only professional analyst who has such concerns. I think there probably are a number of major institutional investors who will be a bit uneasy about investing in PRLN until a new leader is chosen.

Having said that, I think the appointment of an impressive MD who specializes in AIDS to lead the AndroVir campaign could lend credibility to PRLN and raise the price. (Though he isn't a specialist, my dream candidate would be former Surgeon General C. Everet Coop. But I can't see PRLN having the type of money to get someone as well known as he is on board.) The advertizing campaign will raise PRLNs profile and attract new investors. And most importantly, happy customers and a steady revenue stream will cause a dramatic rise in the price. But this is an intermediate to longer term event. I think only the appointment of a new CEO will cause an immediate leap in price.

But then again, I thought we were going to have a jump in price last Friday after the conference so I guess my predictions should be taken with a sack of salt.
