Feds investigated college once run by Bernie Sanders’ wife nypost.com By Joe Tacopino April 28, 2017 \| 2:45am \| Updated The Justice Department investigated a now-defunct Vermont college once run by Bernie Sanders’ wife, it was reported Thursday. E-mails between an attorney for Burlington College and a Vermont state education official revealed that Justice had been investigating “some aspects of the college’s activities,” according to the Web site VTDigger.com. Jane O’Meara Sanders reportedly overstated donations made to the college while applying for a loan for the school while she was serving as president, the news site said.
