As always, you make a very good point. But chew on this:

I know someone very near and dear which may need accupuncture therapy. The HMO says no way, we are not paying for such treatments. Her doctor, if he writes a note says that it is medically necessary and no other treatments exists which will replace the use of accupuncture. By law, the HMO is now required to pay for such treatment (it is not experimental therapy, but proven pain relief, and may replace current therapies). Therefore, the HMO will now cover such treatment.

Could the same happen with AndroVir? Possibly.

One last thought. The AIDS activist are very strong, and if they band together and say AndroVir is what they want, they may certaintly get it.

Just an early morning thought!
