Hi Investor2; There are a lot of daytraders who trade profitably, and they account for a much greater percentage of the trades than they do of the total number of daytraders. That is, the ones who are successful do it a lot.

In addition, the ones that start out trying daytrading, and don't figure it out, stop. Consequently, even though more daytraders make money than lose it, the probabilities are against any given newcomer. In other words, the oldtimers dominate the industry, just like in any other business.

Sorry if I've answered this on some other thread already... My guess is I would have put it on the Daytrading Fundamentals thread.
