Peter Freuchen, in his books about life in the Arctic, wrote about those meteorites I dug that book out a while back and skimmed it to find the part about the meteorite. Some day I'll read the whole book. FYI, that cabin you commented about on Lindy's thread was built in 1902. On my first trip to Alaska in 1980, I hiked south from Hope on the Resurrection Pass Trail into the Chugach NF. First snow of the year...
