There are 17 "wars" approx , going on in the world as I post , would you care to try and name , locate & describe them ? Nearly 1.5 mil or more have died miserably in Sudan only recently ...

Well , most of the 15-17 "wars" you'll find going on in this world today , most are being fought and waged by minds wrapped in tribal hatred , pushed by the warped inertias of fundamentalist religion .
One can draw certain reasonable conclusions ....
Encouraged by whom? Has he even read the OT? Of course God can't be wrong! That is a self-contradicting notion. Maybe if the author had any spiritual beliefs at all, he would not be a defender of war.
Are you , or have you ever read the OT yourself ? It is a compendium of war & tribal genocide on massive scales ordered by this thunderbolt~farting self~frighteous ethnocentric...and intolerant tribal diety , Jahveh .

A cookie cutter could have made allah from jahveh , easily...but allah does offer 72 virgins along with the land of Milk , Honey and Graham crackers.
but peace seems to come from economic stability & prosperity , and a diplomacy born of cultural interchange is usally always preferable to bloodshed ... I would agree with you that the purpose of our actions in Iraq are not to promote an exact duplicate of the American Way or Culture or Religion , but there are certain realities of the world today that require us not to look the other way when there are those who are fundamentally directed to terror and destruction . They succeded to awaken the sleeping giant, let us see what will be .
Its been done before, but the world has grown even more civilized .
PS: If any intervention in the world should have taken place , it surely should have been in Rwanda before . We (the US) tried to do one in the Sudan if you'll remember . |
