As the future of crude oil is sealed and its relevance will dissipate into anonymity there is a war of survival of the oil-producing countries and the US and I presume the rest of the crude oil consumers
The bottom line is; there is a war going on in the energy markets and the main loser is the little consumer.

"Saudis, Russians Consider Pausing Oil Production Increases In Retaliation To Biden SPR Release"
The correlation is amazing and I am on the side of the writer open /permitting more "fracking wells" for a quick $$ for the US companies until hydrogen will start going mainstream.
What is certain is that by next year the Saudis will give up as their major solar farms will be starting producing electricity and Saudi Arabia will be eager to export hydrogen.
In the meantime, there is a fight of chickens and hope the EU will have the stamina to confront the Russians.
One important remark is related to the Sun cycle 25 which started with gusto with plenty of flares solar winds and CME's heating the Thermosphere Climate Index from 5.7 in May, to today: 8.07x1010 W
