"...Not yet at the 6-Gbyte threshold is Maxtor Corp., Milpitas, Calif. Its latest hard drive is DiamondMax, with a 5.1-Gbyte version priced around $480, said Roger Reich, product marketing manager.
"There will be a small market for the absolute cream of the PC ndustry at 6 Gbytes," Reich said.
Maxtor does plan a future announcement to say it will be in the market with a 6-Gbyte product, but Reich declined to say when...."
