The doctors and nurses caring for the woman in question recommended this woman not carry the pregnancy to term BECAUSE it was doomed- as it so very clearly was. Obviously they knew she'd be burning up ICU time hopelessly. That's what makes Good Counsel's cheerful disregard of medical advice so horrible- and they seem to think this case says something good about them.

So while I understand the ICU's can't refuse people, that only strengthens my argument- that it is irresponsible to set up a case where ICU's will be forced to care for a patient that never should have been there in the first place.
