Hello David

Re: My long term outlook for SCNG - in "Layman's Terms"

I have had all sorts of conversations about SCNG - from NIMA(new fed conglomerate with similar interests in mapping and geo-data supply and manipulation) - the GIS consortium(major industry alliance for standardizing approaches to all manner of visual and object oriented database design and use), Ohio State University Center for Mapping (major research and development facility), USGS, ESRI (the leading GIS software vendor), and a bit from Oracle (moving rapidly toward object oriented database usages and major force behind inter-intra net access philosophy).

These folks say that Sedona GeoServices and Scangraphics has something good to add to the future of GIS - that there is a demand for this stuff - and that government and corporate use of GIS is "for sure" exploding. Sedona's best niche so far - is in "maps" - literally - "making and manipulating them" I suppose the whiz tech guys cringe at that description - but it is the common denominator running through my research. What are their best kind of maps?? I don't know - Where will the demand be biggest?? I don't know - Will every traveller have a car computer - downloading a map of the nearest ATM near their mother-in-law? Who knows.

However - all of this kind of stuff is happening - and GIS is just taking off. This company's future is tied closely to that overall development. There is competition - but in the area of mapping - Sedona is fortunate enough to have Ohio State's digital map conversion technology to themselves - it is state of the art and according to the USGS - the process is in strong and growing demand.

For myself - I am focused on the NIMA activities and developments in the near future -(late April) - as an indicator of how strong Sedona really is. The government's RFP (sort of) for GIS technology - (the first RFP of an ongoing process) - undertaken in conjunction with the Open GIS consortium members- is a significant opportunity to both get an inside track for government work - and to get increased recognition from the consortium members for Sedona's technology. In my opinion - this is exactly where the S+P last September stock of the week analysis fits in. If Sedona can prevail at the government level in their corner of GIS - it would likely be far easier and cheaper for other companies to include Sedona's stuff (where that particular GIS stuff is called for) within other related projects for the government (or corporate) - than to waste time!!! and money trying to develop a workable alternative to Sedona on their own.

We need - and I watch for - evidence of chess moves - positioning - organization - capitalization - energy - notoriety. Am I secure and relaxed about the company? No Way Sir - I do my research constantly because I want to be ahead of the PR news - and I want second and third party confirmations - and I know that home runs don't occur all that often - but Scan Graphics has a darn good chance.

Layman's outlook - $5+ by the end of the year. And if it is - I really believe Mike Mulshine should spring for SCNG baseball caps for all of us - or at least for uniforms for my kids' baseball team.

Sorry this is so long David - I just can't explain anything in 25 words or less - especially SCNG - and yes I am an investor.
