Someone help me here. I've read the prior post re the letter to Icahn and now this Alpha article:
seekingalpha.com

I don't get it. Say there's $1.70 in cash. Biomaven, I think it was, made strong arguments in the past that the tax loss carryovers aren't worth much (and the expiration of a lot of them as well as the laxity in getting a merger done seems to support that argument) , so why would KDUS be worth much more (4x!!!? the author of the Alpha article says) to anyone above the liquidation value? I have heard it argued (by Blitz, I think) that it's valuable because it's already incorporated and listed, and saves the expense of getting that done. How much is that worth, or rather how much above the costs involved in getting a merger done?

If one wanted to start a biotech holding company, why not just start from scratch? Do an IPO and make a huge profit on the stock if you think your name and reputation is that much or a draw.

As for the new investors coming in and taking "large" stakes, it looks to someone with 12 years of experience in the stock (me) just like a reshuffling of the chairs on the Titanic.

What's different this time?

Oh, and BTW and FWIW, in the past week or so as volume has grown and the price has spiked, I have been offering my (unfortunately) not insignificant number of shares daily at between $1.68 and $1.70 AON, with no takers.
