No. There are intermittent hills and thousands of shallow lakes. There is more fresh water in Alaska than anywhere else.
The ground looks somewhat flat but do not be deceived: there are frost heaves everywhere which makes walking difficult. Plus swampy areas. I could not have done it without sturdy waterproof boots and two walking sticks.
