The constant quoting of defensive medicine as a reason for high healthcare costs is not supported by facts... In a recent study published about 2 months ago, a committee reviewed thousands of cases and concluded that only about 4% had possible cause to sue.....in fact, only about 4% of that 4% actually did sue.... So the claim of fear of litigation is a red herring..... Follow the money.
