What I suspect happened is that there was a preponderence of posts in one direction that those holding the opposite point of view took exception to. I have difficulty defending Charters, because he is often careless in distinguishing when he is making serious comment and when he is poking fun. And he does make a lot of outlandish statements. But, to make the general point, in my opinion the topic is certainly relevant to a discussion on the future direction of the price of gold.
