What Maher really was thinking is that CLINTON's order to launch cruise missiles was cowardly. (He of course wouldn't say the word "Clinton" because he is deeply in love with him.) Instead, he backpedals with the word "politicians", as if Bush had launched the missiles. Because Maher is of low intelligence, he forgot that the hijackers had set out to kill defenseless civilian men, women and children, an act so cowardly that it trumps the suicidal nature of the attack.
