I dont give Politicians that much credit when it comes to the market. Yes, its true the market began to falter and fall under Clinton (beginning about April 2,000) but the real culprit in my mind is AG (the Fed Chairman). He was determined to SQEEZE out the excesses of the market by rapidly raising interest rates and tightening money supply. Now he is doing the opposite but has learned its easier to kill the Golden Goose then it is to get her to lay an egg. Then along comes all this terrorist stuff which is going to slow recovery intitially, but as we go back to a Military buildup and vast spending on technology to improve our security, combined with tax cuts and interest rate cuts and increased money supply I would imagin the market will come back.
