1/22/10 Update The Republican win in Massachusetts was not enough to counter worrisome economic news as nervous investors dumped stocks. One also wonders whether GS & Co. may have unleashed their gang of Killer Bears to warn Obama not to push his bank breakup plan. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -2.81% YTD (vs. up .83% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 1.94% YTD (vs. up 3.06% YTD a week ago). The Contest median also got hit but still closed up 4.17% YTD (vs. up 5.54% YTD a week ago). Portfolios holding GNVC got a big boost and WYD's portfolio, which has 20% in GNVC took the Contest lead with a 35.88% YTD gain. The other four portfolios holding GNVC (GEORGIA, PGO, BIOFISH, THEOX) also ranked high on the Top Ten list.
