Silent Moment
In the silent moment, The one unfilled by words and touch, Where once there lay our common being, Now fall and shatter The separate parts of you and me.
Where once we sat in quiet joined, As if our minds held hands Across the silence and needed nothing more, Now cry and echo The lonely whisper of our hearts.
Silent seconds, so brief a span, Small eclipses in the hours, Time turned inside out, So what was real, and what was us Now turns, reflects, Those soundless spaces where we are no more.
