To add just as a safety measure a lady here in Colorado has started up a business to register all firearms previously unregistered for the protection of gun owners and in no way CONNECTED TO ANY GOVERNMENTAL agencies. Simply put to give a firearm owner a way to get his weapon back if stolen or lost, proof of ownership, and as shown by the recent horrific tragedy in Litttleton, Colo. an alibi. The police were able to trace the weapons back to the original owner thus making him a suspect and in need of an alibi. This service will provide a database wherby the tranferences of weapons will be kept in strict confidence released only with the registrants permission affording him or her as a legitimate, law abiding citizen protection from accusation and loss of property.
