Citrix? very cute cookies - good stock at last recognised.

As I recall, Citrix enabled NT (approx 4/5yrs ago) for true multi-user Server use, in essence. Being one of the very few s/w houses with NT source licensing approval from MSFT, they also developed/worked with people such as Tektronix for development of Windows/NT on Unix 'emulation' - WinDD (Tek's version) - bloody good it was/is too. So, one can run one's favourite MS-apps from a Unix/X (ie, APLX territory, historically) desktop via an anonymous NT Server enabled with WinDD - via Citrix/Tektronix. Much more clever/slick than emulation in fact.

Worked damn well and I was always surprised how slow the take up was - 'too good to be true' was oft the response from Unix techies - maybe people have finally 'twigged' at last.

It ain't rocket science, simply a sharp smallish s/w house with the power of MSFT/NT.

Seeing more of WinDD, and the like, in City applications of late ....

Cheers

Carl
