I think you missed my point - without all the controls, this market would be down at least twice what it is. I don't see how short-term controls are going to arrest a longer-term decline wirth worsening fundamentals, BWDIK. It worked after '87, but this seems fundamentally quite different to me.

Can they exhaust sellers with these controls in place? That's the question worth debating here.
