If you remove the author's attitude

he does make several valid points. A lot of this was predictable and it is Cooks job to insure expectations are not ahead of reality. Growth is slowing. (but that's simply a fact of life--the dreaded law of large numbers)

Cook has a hard time separating enthusiasm and belief in the product from insuring that investors are given accurate info in order to value the company and project it's future performance.

Cook did a lot of good in the transition to the post Jobs era. In this phone cycle he failed. Now we move on. It's not a Marissa Mayer failure. He failed in one cycle after a period of success. Fix it. Move on to the next challenge. He is a good CEO. Jobs himself had turds. This is Tims Turd quarter.

Bump up that buyback please Mr Cook. I'm full up on 2 digit AAPL shares, thank you.
