lol ,

is there water in the cave?

I ask because that can make all the difference in the world, or as my friend Steve Martin once told me.

He was diving (scuba) off of catalina island near that huge rock off avalon (city) where all the birds hang out, and he found a cave that went into the rock. he went in with his buddy and eventually came up above water, there was a cavern with something lighter than water, yet in the water his gauge red 60 feet depth...

he said like an idiot he took out his mouthpiece to take a breath... took his breath and almost fainted. it was gas with a very strong amonnia odor... he popped it back in and decided to get out of there.

but that made sense when he thought back on it. because he said the bird droppings were probably saturated into that rock (its white on the surface) and the gasses seeped in, etc...
