If the Democrats break their own rules in the process of selecting a nominee, then it is a fodder for Republicans. At least one of their attack ads will be that the Democrats will do anything to get their way.

So yes, the right wing, Bob Novak included, is doing everything they can to ensure that Hillary is the nominee when they know very well that it is mathematically impossible for her to get it. And then once she is the nominee we know the Republican playbook against Billary from there on out.
