RD - It was Mr G again at that time who increased interest rates in 0.5% increments which in a sort space of time brought the market to the brink of collapse. He and Mr Lawson the then British Chancellor then acted in concert and in panic to repair the damage that the 0.5% increases had done. Best regards, L
