Come on, fellows, you have to admit that AOL longs should be cheered a bit by this news. We are all worrying about cash flow, and AOL picks up 100M as an advance.

In addition, we are all sceptical about the new business model, and AOL flaunts a major coup, proving that its subscriber base has value to everyone but die-hard shorts.

In addition to the "loan", which is really an advance against commissions, it gets a lot of stock in this telephone company at a discount if AOL members subscribe in requisite numbers.

I'm starting to feel a bit like a pussy for having sold shares at 36. Is anyone thinking that these guys, who created a multibillion dollar company with chutzpah, are a bit smarter than the average bear?

Regards
