Optimistic prediction from srexley: I think the anthrax letters ARE the terrorist act that the FBI and President Bush warned us about last week. It fits in with the vague nature of the warning, and the time frame of "over the next few days". They probably hoped to kill a few hundred with some big names in there, but instead looks like they will kill one (may he rest in peace) and startle a few others. We can take care of bin Laden/Taliban, then move to the next most dangerous terrorist sponsor state. The ones we go after in the post Taliban era will have had a nice demonstration of our resolve and our capabilities. ps - I predicted this to my wife last Friday. Hope I'm right.
